Coaching for People Navigating Change

Change rarely arrives on schedule. A role shifts under you, a new technology reshapes your work, or you realize the path you’re on no longer fits. I coach professionals and solopreneurs through career and business transitions, especially the ones that technology and AI are speeding up.

Seasons of Flourishing is the coaching side of my business, Positive Movz Strategies. It brings together positive psychology coaching and Carol McClelland Fields’ Seasons of Change® model to help you flourish in every season of life, including the hard ones.

Many of the people I work with feel quietly behind. The fear is rarely about any one tool. It’s about being exposed as someone who can’t keep up. And change often involves loss, even change you chose. We make room for all of that, and then we look for another place to begin.

We begin with what’s already working

Your strengths are part of what stays the same when everything else is shifting, so that’s where we start. Our first step is the VIA Character Strengths assessment. We go through your results together and look at how each strength shows up when you’re using it well, when you’re leaning on it too hard, and when it’s sitting unused. That gives us a shared language for the rest of our work. Often the strength you’ve been leaning on hardest is what’s keeping you stuck, and the one you’ve set aside is what your next chapter needs.

We also look at the stories you carry about change. If you’ve come to believe that being confused by technology means something is wrong with you, we’ll name that story, see where it came from, and notice the times it didn’t hold. Those moments are often where your strengths show up.

A map for change

As a Seasons of Change® Master Coach, I use a model created by Carol McClelland Fields that treats change as a natural cycle rather than a crisis. It helps you see where you are right now (thriving, taking root, needing some tending, or ready for a fresh start) and what that season asks of you. Not every season is for growth: fall and winter make room for letting go, rest, and not knowing.

Purpose Clarity

If you’re unsure what comes next, Purpose Clarity can be part of our work together. It’s a four-part program, also created by Carol McClelland Fields, that moves from what lights you up, to a wide-open brainstorm of possibilities, to a clear purpose statement and a plan to live it. I’m a Purpose Clarity Certified Coach and currently offer it one-on-one. Group sessions are coming. Join the Seasons of Flourishing newsletter (coming soon) to hear first.

Retreats, big and small

I believe people grow faster together. I’m a Veriditas-trained labyrinth facilitator, and I’m developing retreats for women: time away from screens to slow down, reflect, and come back to your work with fresh eyes.

You don’t have to wait for a retreat to find that feeling. When I can’t get away, I stop at a favorite park for fifteen minutes and take my shoes off in the grass. Those mini-retreats have become one of my favorite practices. Coming soon: Get my free guide to planning mini-retreats and find ways to build them into your own week. Join my newsletter to get the announcement.

Closer to home, Positive Movz Netwalks offer a lunchtime version: move, connect, and get outside, all in one walk.

About my coaching

My mission is to help people discover their gifts and contribute them as their best selves. I draw on positive psychology, systems thinking, and storytelling approaches. I’ve completed MentorCoach’s Positive Psychology Coaching coursework and am building hours toward the ICF PCC credential. You choose your pace and what you share. Coaching isn’t therapy. It’s a partnership focused on your strengths and your goals, and when you need deeper support, I’ll help you find it.
